ISS Student Project Grant

Icelandic Student Services awards Student Project Grants three times annually. Four grants at summer graduation, two for BA/BS students and two for master or phd students. One for BA/BS students in October and one for BA/BS students in February. BS and BA students registered to graduate from the University of Iceland and students preparing a project leading to six or more credits in subjects with no actual final project may apply for this grant. The purpose of it is to urge students toward more systematic preparation and ambitious final projects, as well as to introduce and promote presentable works. The grant amounts to ISK 150,000. Grant applications shall be anonymous and contain a description of the project, a photocopy of grades from the Registration Office, and comments on the project by the faculty advisor which also confirm that the applicant is proceeding toward graduation. The name of the applicant shall be obliterated from the documents. The application is to be accompanied by a sealed envelope containing the applicant's name, address, telephone number and email address, along with the original papers from the Registration Office and advisor. Please do not send in the project itself with the application. Applications must reach Rebekka Sigurðardóttir, Icelandic Student Services, Háskólatorg, Sæmundargötu 4, 101 Reykjavík, Iceland. No responsibilities are assumed by those receiving these grants, other than providing Icelandic Student Services with a copy of the project. Application deadline is announced on this website and in an e-mail sent to all students at the University of Iceland.
